'94 Euro Headlight Swap
Hey folks I just switched out all of my front end signals and headlights to clear euro-style lighing, and when I wired up the headlights I also changed out the harness because the new headlights have H4 bulbs that burns hotter, So here's my dilemma- its kinda funy
- The new harness has the socket and 3 wires-- one green, one red, and one black. The passenger side stock harness also had three of the same so I matched them and got them crimped etc. everything works as it should, then I go to the driver side and there is 2 green, and 2 red on the stock harness and one black. I wired the two stock green together then wired them to the new harness, and did the same for the red.
I reconnet the battery and it works! BUT when I checked the brights- I notice that the headlights stay in "bright" mode when the brights aren't on, and that you have to have the brights on for the regular or low beam headlights. Something is backwards, but I wired everything correctly because I've checked and double checked.. hmmm any help?

You have the bright and low wires swapped. Just cause the colors on the one were the same as the other doesn't always mean thats how they are supposed to be. You can cut the wires and swap them around or try to remove the wire from the plastic connector and swap it. A tiny screw driver will slip in the connector and there should be a pin on the metal that catches on a lip, depress that and it should slip out the connector.
