Red face 94 s10 cpi Changed FPR but have a new issue (and an old one i've been putting off)

If this has been posted before i apologize, been awake 52hours now (stupid insomnia)

Changed the fuel pressure regulator because my fuel pump was running constantly, loud humming and by loud i mean louder then the cherrybomb glass pack i have. Now it smells like gas, not all the time but when it does its over powering, from what i can tell underneath the fuel lines were replaced, the old ones were just cut and left there. I keep reading on here about a nut kit, is that what i need to replace? Also a search of autozones website doesn't show anything for nut kit, atleast fuel related. What would it be called?

My second issue is that i have an oil leak some where i changed the main hoses with the rubber/metal hoses in one unit, expensive bugger too. Still leaking, can't seem to find where its leaking from, theres a little residue on the driver's side, The exhaust doesn't smell like burning oil, maybe a slight hint but its not that noticeable. I'd like to get it fixed asap as my inspection is due next month, and i want to have a proper inspection done on it this year.

Also should i do an engine rebuild? And when i took the intake manifold off the hole at the front going down into the engine was almost blocked with crud, picked at it with a screw driver and shopvac, would an engine flush solve that problem? As the kits now are $400 give or take, the kit without the oil pump is $300 something, or should i get the kit with the oil pump? It has 121,000 miles on it, tranny's been rebuilt as when i changed the filter i blew the main seal out so had it all done, the torquw converter wasn't replaced though had it checked an the garage said it was fine just clean it up.

Sorry for the long winded post i just wanted to get all the details out there

Fuel Hose Repair Kit:
RockAuto.com part number #HK11
O'reillys part number #28430

If your going to do a "complete restoration" on it then do a complete engine rebuild. Would solve the problems....be sure to get a new ERG valve, sounds like it needs one...lol

Well money is tight so im trying to do it piece by piece. Looked up the parts, should i do the egr first or the fuel lines? I plan on buying the rebuild kit after the holidays.

I've gone over the entire fuel line assembly under neath the truck, its not leaking in those lines, I've come to the conclusion its leaking by the FPR, i just replaced the FPR so it must be the lines near it, what are they called? I'll replace those and she should be good. It only smells like gas when its running

the FPR attaches to the spyder with its 6 injectors. A new one costs around $300, you could try and get one from the junkyard. Usually the spyders are good, its the FPR that goes bad.

Used to you would have to buy the whole spider assy, to get a replacement fuel pressure regulator, but now HELP industries has replacement FPR's to bolt on the spider assembly. They even come with the safety torx bit required to change it. I know you can pick them up at AutoZone for around $54. I replaced mine thinking it was leaking off because I am only getting 13 psi at the test port. Still no change though, but maybe it could help in your case and save you around $250. Good luck, and if anyone has ever had a steady drop in fuel pressure (maintains 13 psi) give me a shout and let me know. 93 s10 tahoe W code 4.3

Do you mean the 3 lines on each side that go into holes in the lower plenum or do you mean the 2 lines on the opposite side of the plenum?

If you mean the 3 on each side, it's the poppet lines on the spider that are leaking and you need a new spider (fuel injector). If it's the 2 lines on the opposite side of the plenum, then it's the "nut kit", the Dorman part number is in the post above yours (slightly cheaper at Advance Auto than Autozone).
