ac compressor wont kick on
I have a 94 s10 blazer 4.3l. The ac needed charged when I got the vehicle. So I disconnected the wire so it would stop kicking on all the time. Well I decided to recharge it and I plunged it back in. But now the compressor won't kick on. I can spin it by hand so its not froze up. I don't understand y it doesn't kick on.
Any help?

Too low of system pressure will lock out the compressor clutch. You can either jumper the relay for the clutch or put a jumper wire in the low pressure switch that is on the filter/dryer (large silver canister on the passenger side of the motor). This should allow for the operation of the clutch to pull in refrigerant.

K. How would I go about jumping the low pressure switch?
*UPDATE*
I figured out how to jump it. New prob! The compressor now kicks on every 5 seconds. For about 2 seconds. But doesn't blow cold air?

If the system was open to atmosphere and completely depleted of pressure, I would agree. But if a slow leak caused it to bleed down to the point where the low pressure switch was not activating, then a recharge without pump down should work.
Keep on adding refrigerant into the system until it stays on steady and the pressure is in the appropriate zone on the gauge.
