AC Refrigerant Replacement - How Much?

Just replaced my compressor on my '88 s10 w/4.3l and I need to know how much refrigerant I need to charge the system.

Has your system been converted to R134a? If so I think it is about 2 lbs. My system has been converted and there is a little sticker in there that says how much.

If you buy one of those do it yourself kits - get the one with the gauges with it. If you are using the one with the hose - then you can use 2-3 of the 8oz cans that come with the kit. Watch on youtube how to do it.

Yes I have converted to 134a. I bought a set of gauges from Harbor freight for about $50 and am looking forward to using them for the first time. I'm a big fan of the 'tube.
