Another 4x4 question
Of course, I got to try out my 4x4 in the snow yesterday and felt like a kid with candy doin it. The 4x4 worked fine, but a few times while driving, i'd hear a clicking noise that sounded like it came from the front end, it clicked like every 15-20 seconds...then a a few times it just popped out of gear and starting making a loud grinding noise. I quickly put it into nuetral and pulled to the side of the road, and it engaged back in gear by itself. It did this only like3 times and i wasdriving all dayyesterday, and other than that it worked fine. When it made the grinding noise, i sounded like it was in neutral revving real high, but i was in 4hi in Drive. Almost like the front differential just came out of gead. So when it did that, thats when I threw it in neutral, took my foot off the gas and it engaged back in by itself. This only happened in 4x4. And this never happened b4 until yesterday. I would say i was traveling like 20-30mpg when this was happening, and i was in 4hi so i assume its ok to drive at higher speeds with it in 4hi. If anyone might have any ideas, please reply. Greatly appreciated.
BTW- these trucks handle great in the snow, I pulled my self out of some slick situations.

RE: Another 4x4 question
Here's a posi-lok for sale on eBay. It's about $115 with shipping. Not too shabby.
