Brake bleeding!

Default Brake bleeding!

I have a 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 with abs! Someone b4 i got it put a new master cylinder on it and didnt bleed the system! Im old school but i have to bleed these brakes so my question is do i bleed them the old way or do i need to do it on the abs unit itself?? TY

Old school to me is start at the PS rear, bleed them till clear fluid comes out. Then the DS rear, same thing. PS front & DS front both until clear fluid. The ABS (on my 2nd gen) works off a wheel speed sensor & I don't think it directly has anything to do with fluid, it's electrical. Now if the brake fluid is nasty, water contaminated that will affect braking & that could cause issues with the ABS.

What rottidog said, do it the old school way, the ABS is electrical. Then you should be good to go! good luck.

+1, its only if the master has tons of air in it that you need the computer to do a bleed.
