OK 1st off welcome to forum!
2nd I think you should be able to with an axle shaft swap.
3rd I see your nic & in a 1/4 second a few things flashed through my head:
Ray Gotti - what about the dyslexic people in here?
Most call me Rotti & if anyone has a dyslexic moment they may see your nic as Gay Rotti lol & get things bass ackwards.
Ok but seriously, I do think it's possible with an axle shaft swap but I'm not too familiar with 84's. What rear is in it now? Honestly with the right amount of resources & drive almost anything is possible. You may have to go to say a dana 44 or whatever has the 6 bolt pattern you're looking for.
