If its a 4x4 your in for a good time. This is what I have saved on autozone.com for my blazer. If yours is differnet your just gonna have to fill your your own info and look.

i worked on it today .. everything went well. i unbolted the starter and tried pulling it out and down. i didnt come all the way out of where it connects to the flywheel. and i couldn't pull it any further back there was no clearence. i tried twisting it and moving it around and NO LUCK. i bolted it back in. going to have one of my buddies help me out this week .. but boy is it a pain in the ***.

anyone has done this b4 feel free to give input

thanks again

I had to take the y pipe off, a crossmember under there had to come out, all kinds of fun. Took me all day to get it replaced.

Remove the torque converter cover (4 bolts I think), then that will give you the clearance to get the starter out.. And you may have to go through the pass side tire wheel well to get to the two wire terminals.. The worst part for me was the wire terminals...
