cranking but not firing

Congrats Chevyboy, did you replace the entire throttle body or just rebuild the fuel pressure regulator? I am suspicious of mine, I rebuilt it over three years ago and the rubbery diaphragm in there just seemed too flimsy for such an important component. I might end up redoing mine. I will also consider the coolant temp sensor, I read about a diagnostic test I want to try. I made lists of everything I have replaced and tested recently and it's pretty depressing, I'm not getting any codes so I'm worried it might be severe internal engine damage.

thanks but i wasnt getting any codes either i changed the whole throttle body when i put this newer engine in i had to swap the TB with my original because the one on the newer engine was a e shift tranny and didnt have the TV linkage post.
i think that was my previous engine problem to begin with because it was doing the same exact thing it was doing after i swapped the throttle body.
but the engine is swapped now so oh well...i just have a possibly good extra engine..haha
i snagged the newer throttle body i have on the engine now from the junkyard for really cheap and the CTS from Advance Auto
i put both on at the same time and it cranked up with no priming at all just the push of a button like it would regularly..(Push button starter..haha)

My 91 s10 with a TBI is doing the same thing, it will not start after the brakes locked up in traffic one day, approaching a red light. Avoided a wreck but it hasn't started since. It cranks, has fuel and spark. The brake light was on for a month after replacing some rusted out brake line, i couldn't bleed the lines enough and stomp on the brake pedal enough. Then on this day the light went out and two miles later they locked up.
New plugs, cap, rotor, ignition coil, alternator, fuel pump, ignition switch, and I tried a new electronic spark control module and ignition control module but that didn't do it. I'm all out of ideas, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks guys. I did test the pick up coil and it appears to have passed, I could only find the analog multimeter, so an infinate reading is the same as no reading at all, so before I replace it I'm going to try to find the digital meter. I also tested the coolant temp sensor and it passed, I'm running out of easy fixes to test.
