do all 4wd's have oil filter behind driver headlamp?

My 4x4 does turn it to clear the axle different compared to my 2wd but both are still block mounted. No clue on the 2.5, been 15 years since I've even seen a 4x4 with one and my memory aint that good.
I do have all the stuff off a 4.3 (for my v8 swap) laying in my shop. I can post pics of the gm parts numbers to prove its factory.
