I have a question about the engine code. (9th place in the vin code). I have a 1987 S-10 Blazer with an engine code R. I need to replace it due to it being bored 40 over and now it's starting to smoke. I just found a 1987 Camaro with a 2.8L with an engine code of S. Will this motor be a direct fit in my S-10. If so I'm going to be dropping my intake manifold with TBI on top of it anyways. Will everything else be in the same exact spot as my motor, such as the upper radiator hose and all other wired stuff? Will I need to use my engines distributor in the Camaro engine?
