After driving in a huge rainstorm the next day a heard a disturbing noise coming from under the hood. Its sounds like a loud rattle/ knock that is not uniform. My dad and I seem to think its coming from the alternator (thats were its the loudest). The truck runs well, no lights on, nothing different. Its only mainly at idle, goes away when the rpms are up. Could it be my alternator bearings or something? Would it make this loud ruckess I'm describing? Thanks in advance...!

 

If anyone was curious it was the alternator bearings and races... $75 for a rebuild.

 

That was a quick fix at a fair price for peace of mind.
