Default My dog rocks

Last February I bought a six month old beagle. She is the first dog I have ever owned in my whole life, so the training aspect has been all new ground for me. Well today I am excited to share the first "trick" I have taught her. Had a heck of a time housebreaking her, but by June she was pretty much accident free. Well, as of today, she is now to the point where if I have her on the leash and I say "Drop deuce" if she has to go she will, but if she doesn't she just sits in the grass. Also, I'm working on this- when I say "Give me a hell yeah" she stands on her back legs, now I'm trying to get her to add a bark.

So does anybody else have a cool trick that their dog does? Thought this could get interesting.

Mine is doing raids in the kids rooms, collecting empty plastic bottles and selling them to us for dog cookies
He also gives the high-five, carries the mail and whatever he gets ahold of.

I've got an English black lab named Ginger that I found roaming around the neighborhood when I was little. She knows all the normal sit, stay, and such. Somehow, one of my Army buddies taught her to "get AIDS." it's terrible, I know, but when you tell her to "get AIDS," she plays dead.

My German Shepard/ Newfoundland lab Shadow is just a lazy-*** dog that just follows me around and does... Whatever. He holds down the fort while I'm gone, he's a good guard dog.

Best trick I've taught my dog (a pound mutt) is to attack any stranger...period. Problem is, he learned to well. Anytime we have company over we have to put him outside or in a room. He will rip the throat out of anybody he doesn't know that gets into his territory.

If he gets out he is friendly to anybody that he may run across. He got out once and I found him in a lady's backyard as she knew we kept our dogs fenced. He was as nice as could be to her and she was petting him, even giving her treats.

Go figure.

Good lookin hounds you have there! I dont really have the time for a dog, but would love one. The birds much easier to care for, food, water, window seat and shes good for 24 at least before needing water again. I have a 20 year old ringneck parakeet. She actually saved my buddys son the other day. He was playing, we were watching TV, he started choking on something where we couldnt see him, BUT the bird sure could... The bird jumped from her house (never does this) and grabbed the billet grill on the shelf and sent it crashing to the ground to get our attention (knows chirping doesnt work for me by now).. We jump up, and his son is blue down behind the couch slowly losing it. A couple hard smacks on his back got him to cough up half an orange and start crying. Phew. Who knew how long it would have been before we found him if it wasnt for "that f*ckin bird" as my friends call her.

I love animals.
