i checked the wiring going to the fuel pump with a tester. and the light was dimm. so i called a local auto parts store. the told me relay.bought one wasnt relay. is there a way to run a direct hot wire to the pump.i also cut the ground wire and connected it back together. the pump was working b4 i put it in the tank. need some insight

The burning smell of antifreeze, means you probably have a intake manifold gasket leak, which means replacing the intake manifold gaskets. It could be either upper or lower, but most likely lower, since it would drip onto the exhaust (hence the burning smell). i would get this replaced asap and then change your oil because most likely antifreeze also got in you oil, or may while replacing the intake manifold gasket, causing the oil to foam. This should cost around $300 or less at a non dealer service facility. Otherwise it would also be pretty easy to do yourself, just use the search function to find more info on how to do it your self. Hope this helps you out.
i got the tank down and hooked up the new pump b4 putting everything together.the pump worked. put it all together tank strapped in go to start nothing no sound or anything. i checked the power i have a very dim light. bought a new relay still nothing how can i run a direct wire to the pump. and where should i run it?
So what exactly have you done? You have multiple threads that all state different things... Please lay it all out here so that we can better help you without reading through all of your threads... Things get very confusing if you keep posting up different threads on the same problem all stating very different trains of thought. Keep it all here PLEASE!!
