fuel pump troubles

Default fuel pump troubles

I have a 1989 s10 4 x 4. Was running fine and now won't start. Checked for spark had plenty. Pulled the gas line going into tbi and no fuel flow. Hoped and prayed for a clogged fuel filter. Replaced it and still no gas flow. If I pour some gas into tbi the old gal will fire right off till it burns the gas out then dies. I assume it has a electric fuel pump which with my luck will be in the gas tank that I just filled up. How can you tell if it is bad? Is there some kind of relay that might be bad? Does the fuel pump start pumping when the key is turned on? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

You should have a fuel pump fuse and a fuel pump relay.

The ECM B fuse feeds +12V to the Fuel Pump relay for the supply to the fuel pump.
