Default gas guage

Ive got a 94 blazer and when i accelerate, it doesnt matter if its hard or light, the needle on the gas guage will drop either a 1/8 or a 1/4 of the tank then when i let go of the gas it goes back up. Any ideas on what is causing this or how to fix it?

Whats the year of your blazer on the newer blazer's it shouldn't do that unless your module on the fuel pump is corroded, otherwise if its the older model it will do that because of the old style float on the fuel pump!!

I think you could switch out pumps but then I think the electronics for fuel gauge would be different and that you would have to swap out cluster's but I am not a 100% sure on that!!! I would pm swartlkk just to be sure!!

Pumps are entirely different. I am not sure if you can just change the sending unit on the older fuel pump assemblies.
