Default Getting Frustrated - Fuel Leaking from relief valve

Hi all,

I posted last week about fuel pump issues on my 94 4.3 CPI. Got everything back together, turned the key, the car started and fuel started pouring out of the pressure relief valve.

Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated as I replaced the spider assembly last year...would hate to have to rip this apart again.

Thanks for your help...

Fuel leaking from the valve means that the valve and possibly the body itself needs to be replaced.

Thanks...I tried to tighten up the valve stem but that didn't help either. The auto parts store didn't have the part. Can I replace the stem or is it keyed to a particular pressure?

This doesn't seem like it should be this hard to deal with.

Thanks again to all who can help

That is part of the internal fuel lines typically called the nut kit.

Hopefully you didn't just use one from a tire valve... You need one that is meant to be used with fuel.
