Default guage cluster problems

Ok so just this past week my whole guage cluster finally gave out on me before it was just the odo and the spedo now the whole thing just went black. I am getting some power because the brake and the check engine or service engine soon light comes on when i put the key to the on position. I have disasambled the dash and pulled the cluster out cleaned the connection with isophrophlyn alchoal and still the only two light will show, before this the fix for the speedo and the odo going out would beto hit the top of the dash really hard with my fist and it would kick on for a while then kick back off and the the odo would stay on randomly. Any tips guys would be apperciated
thanks bobby

Iapperciate it I didnt want to post the thread intially because I figured that there would be a thread already up. Unfortentially I couldn't think of the key words the trigger the right threads while searching the forum. Thanks for the link to the forum im gonna tear apart the dash again and check the soilder points fix any that I may notice and hope for the best. By the way the first thing I did was in pull all the fuses just incase any one is to add on to the thread after reading the first post they may say check fuses, fuses checked out A okay.
Thanks O2xtreme for the help
