Help me connect this vacuum line.
Hello everyone!
I have a 1983 S-10 Blazer. 2.8? Manual Transmission.
I have been trying to diagnose why my heater will only blow out on floor and defrost. My 4WD wont engage and Cruise doesn't work. Ive been reading that vacuum lines run them all and i have found this vacuum line just laying around.

Any Ideas?
Thanks!

look for a open fitting around the brake booster or intake manafold, start it up and listen for a hissing. also look for the vacumme ball check for a line from that. should be on the pass. fender.(that was true for my 91)
Looks to me like that line feeds into the car, and is supposed to be connected to vacuum... Plugging it shouldn't provide any results as this appears to be the feed for various vacuum actuated devices, not the feed from the motor. I would check for a capped spot around the motor that this belongs to, and I would also check the hoses inside the car that this feeds. My guess would be that somewhere along your truck's life it suffered a vacuum leak inside the car, which was causing motor problems. Probably fixed by cutting this line, and capping the motor, so the motor runs fine...but those things don't work.
Worst case scenario, you could always find a similar sized vacuum line that is attached to the car, and just use a T-Fitting to attach these lines together.
