Default Huge problem with fuel injector electrical connector!!

hey guys i've got a '91 s10 blazer, 4x4 with 4.3l (no vortec). last night driving home my truck was barely drivable and would want to stall out. It would drive just fine until out of nowhere it would lose all of its throttle response. I made it home (luckily) and upon removing my air cleaner I noticed that said connector was loose. It was not off but it was off just enough to bounce in and back out. Upon further inspection the base clip that one of the connectors mounts onto is broken off and the connector cannot properly latch on. My only solution right now is to muscle it on and pray that it doesn't come off!

Now let me ask you guys something, has this ever happened to any of you guys? And an even better question is..how am I going to buy a new bottom clip? I knew I would be wasting time, but I did look all over the web for this piece with no luck. any help?

When you say No Vortec, you mean its a TBI engine not the CPI - spyder injectors. I could be wrong, but I thought all 4.3 engines were the Vortec.

But if it is the CPI, you can get a new Injector Connector at Autozone for like 8-10 dollars, just cut off the old one and reconnect the new one, or try a junkyard for one.

The connector for the TBI injectors is available at pretty much any autoparts store.

Autozone.com PN 800-9225 $22
ACDELCO Part # PT285 $24

Both of those are quite expensive though... Various only places have it for $10-13 as a google search for "GM TBI Electrical Connector" will turn up.

yes I mean throttle body injection. and also the connectors are actually fine, its just the tiny little plastic piece on the bottom that broke off. looks like I'm getting the whole connector though, as it does come with the piece though. Thank you very much, guys!
