Are you planning on getting the kit , pressure plate throw out bearing and all that good stuff . It's a good idea since you are going to have it apart anyway . Advance auto parts has the hole kit for 130 dollars . Thats for everything you need unless your flywheel is bad then you may want to get it turned . That kit is also life time warrantyed .

guys, this member is in Lithuania.

from experience, you don't want to get anything like a Centeforce clutch or any other severe duty clutch, as those factory 5 speed, 4WD trans don't stand up to alot of abuse.

i know, i had the same truck (see my sig) and i replaced the trans 3 times in 7 years.

the first replacement was a GM refurbished unit (paid almost $3000! ) and it ended up shearing te output shaft after 28 months.

now, i don't expect you'll be abusing your truck like i did (7 grand shifts, 4 to 5 grand launches in 4WD), but as long as you stay within the specs of a GM performance clutch, and don't dump the clutch too hard or too often, that clutch should stand up to your needs for a long time.

as for the flywheel, don't buy a new one, 'cause shipping that extremely heavy fywheel will kill you on shipping charges. just find a local machine shop that does transmission work, and have them machine (blanchard grind) your flywheel. since most of the vehicles in Europe have manual trans, it shouldn't be a problem.

GL, and keep us posted on your results.
