I was wondering if the tow kit came standard on the 1993 s10. i thought i saw the wiring for one under my blazer but never really checked it out i always assumed mine did not have a tow kit but now i am hoping it was taken off. How can i tell if it has one?

 

Mine didn't have one when I got it. I installed one. It didn't look like it ever had one.

 

The easiest way to check and see if your Blazer came with a tow package is to run the VIN through the RPO decoder at compnine.com: Comprehensive Chevrolet, Saturn, GMC, Hummer, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Geo, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep, Chrysler, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Mazda Trucks VIN Decoder. That will tell you for sure if yours was built with the tow package.

 

Very interesting site TH...i ran my vin and it says mine came with the trailer hitch although it didn't have one when I purchased it. I installed one & sure never looked like one was on, but who's too say....it also said there are only 2 other Blazers like mine, that kinda blew me away, does yours come back with a similar "Rarity" or??? nice site tho, easy way to check what an RPO code is......

No tow kit ya it said i have one of three blazers, but if you read on it says that if it is the same but a different plant it is not the same so it makes sense that it has to be an exact match.
