I've done the manual transfer shifter conv. & was wandering if any one tried a cable?
Has anyone tried a cable shift on and 233 and is it a good swap? I went from the electric shift to a home grown shifter through the floor but have been watching a classifieds site on the net and someone has a cable shift set up that I could make work pretty easy with the shifter from a 98 model (I think) and a top console piece that will go with the one that I have put in my 93. Is it possible to shift the 233 with the cable? Through my research on doing the manual swap some say no because its to hard to shift with a cable. But was thinking that if i use the currrent set up with a 3 inch lift in effect putting my homemade shifter under the body it would have some increased leverage to assist in the shifting and could work a little better. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
