I don't really have much experience fixing cars, but seeing as this S10 is 35 years old I have a feeling I'm going to need to learn.

yeah i second 4x4 vacuum lines. one should go to a source of vacuum and one to the actuator on the passenger side fender. theres also a third one coming off the vacuum switch at the transfercase but its just a vent

^^ What they said. . Looks like it got on the exhaust and melted your hoses.
With the age it's prob worth going through and replacing all the vacuum hoses. I've done a couple, but still have a lot to replace.
Just make sure you secure new hoses up and away from the exhaust so it doesn't happen again.

I'm in the same boat all my hoses are broken!
I know 1 goes to the actuator, 2nd goes to a vacuum source on the engine but where?
The third T to the transfer case vent but where does it connect to atomosphere at ?
I'm soo close to getting my 4x4 working lol its killing me
