Default RE: Lift Question

Well for the front of your truck it has independant suspension supported by torsion bars. The torsion bars are those really long bars the run from the front a-arms back to a crossmember. These act as a torsion spring (thus their name) so they twist instead of compress like normal springs. What you can do with these is locate the crossmember they attach to and you will find they are connected to a "key" that looks tier drop shaped (ill link to a pic in a sec). This has an adjustment bolt. If you tighten this bolt 5-6 full turns you will get about 1.5-2 inches of lift in the front. Very easy to do.

Here is the bad news. This can put strain on your front end causing premature wear of cv joints and ball joints. So long as you are ok with this and you keep everything greased up you will be ok. Just be prepared when stuff breaks.

Torsion bar key looks like this
