Need some help with my 88" S-10 Blazer
Ok so, cars been dead for atleast a month or two now. Didn't have the time to get it running again but seeing as I need it on the road in March I went out and bought a new battery, plugs, wires and a distributor cap. I put in the new battery today, started up first crank. Ran rough as usual (thats why I bought new plugs wires ETC) then as it warmed up it smoothed out. After about 15mins after it hit about 100 degrees the engine started revving up by itself. If I put it into neutral it will stop revving but then start up again after a few seconds. If I put it into drive it will just die. I'm guessing injectors or something? Please let me know.
Also, I think that my starter needs rebuilding. I crank it and it doesn't engage but you can hear it spinning. After about 10-15 tries it will start.
One problem after the other, I just want to get this damn thing on the road again!!
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

The O2 Sensor controls the fuel mixture once your car is warmed up and is in closed loop operation. Your temperature sensor for the ECM (The one by the water inlet) controls mixture as well. If you have access to a scan tool you can figure out what the O2 count is, open or closed loop operation and what the engine temperature for the ECM. The last thing that I can think of is your Idle Air Control Valve. If your engine runs well in in certain modes than I think your injectors are probaly ok. ECM controls your idle and mixture based on inputs from O2 sensor, Temp Sensor, IAC, TPS. and Knock Sensor.
