Hey guys, names Dan, i just purchased an 88 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3L

heres my problem lol

1. my blazer starts up just fine but the second i go into drive the idle drops pretty hard, never dies but after a couple minutes driving i come to a stop and it idles pretty rough, rough enough to make the battery gauge go up n down a bit, shakes the entire car like its going to die out but it never does, any suggestions?

2. after driving i shut the car off and i hear a dripping noise sort of like its dripping into a tin can, sometimes it seems like its on the drivers side, other times the passengers

3. my steering wheel is/feels loose, like its just not on there. ive tightened bolts, ive opened it up n its like theres something missing around the shaft, just kind of wiggles around like there should be something surrounding it holding it in place. everything else is tightened up but i dont know if im missing pieces or what. my buddy claims i need to pull the entire steering column and just swap it out with another. just seems kind of wrong considering thats really the only thing wrong with it.

sorry for the long write up

any help is appreciated

thanks

By any chance your power steering pump is bad? because i had idle issues when my power steering pump was bad because of lose of power steering fluid puts strain on the engine via the belt..
