Default new issues with the 88 :icon_emm:

tryed to start it up today...its kinda finiky to start so i kept cranking trying to get it....then it just keeps trying to start even after i turn off the ignition...it finally stops and now all i get when i turn the key is a whining noise please help

With the way you described it, sounds like the contacts in your starter are getting soo hot there sticking, thats why when you let off the key it keeps trying to start. I would check fuel and spark next. Have someone try to start it and take the air cleaner off the engine and make sure your injectors are spraying into the engine. FYI< My engine is always hard to start the first time of the day, but after its hot it starts right up. I wouldnt crank much longer each session then it would normally take to cold start.
