I am pretty sure the PCV in my blazer was original, almost 20+ years old when I replaced it. Not only was the valve gunked up, the line was as well. After cleaning the line I noticed the TBI had a bunch of gunk in it as well. I ended up doing a TBI rebuild which drastically improved performance. There were some areas that looked like a cholesterol clogged artery. You may have clog down the line somewhere affecting performance.
