The wires should have different size eyelets. The starter posts should be two different sizes as well. Small wires on small post (Solonoid), large wire (Battery) to large post.

The two large eyelets are black and red is it ok for them to be on the same post? someone told me the black one goes to the block but i don't remember removing one from there.

Black wire is usually a ground wire. I would try to trace in back to see where the other end is connected to. If you can not trace the wire, I would use a multi-meter and see if the other end is grounded by connecting one lead to the eye and the other end to ground. First check for DC voltage on the wire and if there is no voltage than I would check for a ground on the Ohm scale or continuity scale. This means the wire is going to ground and do not tie it in with the battery post of the starter. The black wire may have been on one of the starter mounting bolts (Just Guessing) since I do not know where it came off from. The starter case and mounting bolts provides the ground for the starter so i do not know where or why you have a mystery wire by the starter.

Could someone have used the battery post to tie in an accessory using a black wire? The starter post has power all the time as it is tied directly to the (+) side of the battery and could be used to supply 12V circuit to an accessory. I would definately try to find what the other end is connected to if is not connected to a ground.

I replaced my starter last week.

The 2 bigger wires (ground) go on the center of the starter which should have the biggest nut.

And the smaller one goes on the solenoid for power.
