Default NO Heat or A/C or Blower.

Just purchased an 83 S-10 blazer. Truck does nothing when I turn the fan blower on for the heat/Ac also does nothing when I move the levers over to heat or A/C etc. No a sound is heard when anything is moved etc. Any idea where to start looking. I did check all the fuses under the passenger side dash and all are good. Thanks for any help.

Im assuming the engine is running when your trying to get the blower motor and HVAC working.
Blower motor has two different fuses, one for all speed except for high, and one for high. There is a resistor in the blower housing under the hood. Also check the fuses under the hood.

As for the HVAC switch not working, verify that the vacuum line is hooked up, it attaches to the backside of the intake manifold by the distributor cap.

I thought the fuse box was under the drivers side?

The Htr/AC panel comes out real easy on that old of a truck. Pull the center panel and the htr/AC control panel and see if you've got power to your blower switch and any AC controls - MAX, NORM, BI-LEVEL and DEFROSTER when you move the controls. You should have a hot wire to work all of them. I have a wiring diagram for an 84 if you need more info. The blower relay isn't like the later models either. I believe it's mounted on the upper right firewall. I had a problem with my 84 and pulled the relay and plugged it back in and it worked fine after that. That's if your fuses are good.
