Popped my Power Outlet (floor) socket or fuse
And my cigarette lighter still works, horn, radio, all still work.. Tried running a power inverter, popped fuse "on floor" (it's not on the floor but the general console area) and I am wondering what fuse I must replace.. Many things still work.
If it's a fuse, I am happy.
Or did I possibly blow the socket itself? Is that possible?
Happy NEW YEAR everyone. Truck hot a good workout yesterday. 4WD still broke, also heat. Nice storm. Glad I changed the transmission fluid.. and engine oil.. about 24" here.
**Oh, almost forgot.. Truck is still the same as my screenname, just one year newer. I have 1994 Chevy S10 Tahoe LT now.. 4.3 VIN W.

Like anything electrical, if a fuse blows its been overloaded or there is a short to ground. Replace the fuse with the same rating and try something that sucks less power. If the fuse blows again there is a short.

This makes sense.. though, I am having trouble determining which fuse gives power to that particular outlet.
I do not think it is Horn/DM since my horn, radio, and other light work.. This is for the power outlet by the center console..
I did some reading, fuse is first thing to check (once I find out which one it is) and if the fuse is good, I may have fried the outlet itself. Is possible. Was an 800W inverter, worked for maybe two seconds, now even a known good cable (lighted cell phone charger) works in cigarette lighter, buy my power outlet is still dead..
