positive battery cable
If it's what I think you mean, they are called fusible links and actually take the place of a big inline fuse. The wire size is VERY inportant if you have to replace one. Too big and it won't burn through until REALLY overloaded. Too small and you might be replacing it a lot. Do a little research on them. I think the concept is pretty cool. My factory manual tells you how to make one if the part is not available and you need one. Most aftermarket manuals mention them too. Sorry for the delayed response on this. Hope it helps you out. By the way, if one does burn on you, you usually have to look at the underside to tell. Why? One of the mysteries of life I suppose. I don't know.
I'm getting senile in my old age. You're right. The fusible link on my 94 Blazer is between the generator (alternator) and the junction block. Shows what you get trying to go from memory (or lack thereof). I believe my 84 Jimmy has one there too, but I'll have to check. You pricked my curiosity. Thanks for keeping me straight.
