Default power window motor question

Hi I have a question about the rear window motors on my 94 blazer. Both motors are slow to go up (one inch at a time). Has anybody tried to modify the thermal overloads in them so new motors don't have to be purchased? Can these motors be taken apart so the thermal overloads can be bypassed?

No, no and no. That's not a "thermal overload". It's an automatic resetting circuit breaker in them and you'd probably just burn out your motors or break something anyway. Look around on the web. I bought some for $23.00 each and sometimes you can find them even cheaper. They're really not worth fixing they're so cheap. Check your clips that hold the window in the track and spray some silicone lube in the tracks. And for your own health, if you change the motors drill a hole through the regulator arm and lock it in position or the spring will bite your hand big time.
