Default Replacing Front Clip

Hey Everybody,

my Blazer has seen better days My gf was driving it and got in an accident (not her fault) she was stopped at a light.. and somebody rear-ended her.. and slammed her into the car in front of her. The back of my blazer looks fine actually.. but the front end got a little smashed up.

hood and fenders look fine, but the grill, bumper, and driver side headlight got really beat up. my blazer is an 85.

Pictures soon to come (trying to upload from my phone)

What I really need to know when i get the pics up is if this looks easily fixed by just replacing the parts, or do you think the frame needs to be straightened or something? also I'm having troubles finding an 85 blazer to swap parts from, would the newer 1 piece front grill swap in? or if anyone has any other ideas of what I could do to make it not look like total garbage.

Here's a pic of what the front used to look like, Ill get the damaged pic later when I get home from work.

No way is the frame gonna be bent if the fenders and rear are fine. Its a truck frame, its tough, and it took the hit front to back.

As for finding junk parts, they arent worth it when you have to go pull them yourself. You should be able to find a local aftermarket parts supplier warehouse near you that will do over the counter sales. Try grabbing your yellow pages and look for auto parts. Around here, I buy at Pro Body Parts. I could get the grill in black or chrome for about 20-30 bucks, and the bumper I got was black and was about 45 I think. You can check my build thread for accurate prices I paid if you need to. The plastic parts arent going to fit as well as the original parts did, but they fit OK and look better than the damaged stuff does.

Yes you can get the grill in 3pc or 1pc. My 1pc one fits like garbage though, and I will test fit the 3pc when I get to that stage in my build.

It almost looks like you can get away with just replacing the bumper, headlights and grill and everything would look good.

any ideas what the best place to get the parts for, for the best price? also would the grill setup from say a 93 bolt in? or would it take a lot of work?

the '93 grille is a 1 piece. I like the 3pc better, it looks nicer imo. I painted mine flat black and outlined the bowtie in red, it looks rather good. The '93 MIGHT bolt in.

I think they modified the skirt beneath the grille when they went to the 1pc front grille. You might have to remove that or replace it.

The one piece grilles have a different core support. You can bolt the newer grille on yours but the headlights will be 1/2 inch too high.

The one piece grill doesn't use the "skirt" below the grille so you just remove it.
