There are 2 arrows and 2 vallies. To find tdc ,the markings are to rusty. Have installed new head gaskets and need to set at TDC. This way I can install distributor shaft correctly. A pitcure would help alot. When #1 is at TDC should it be flush with the block deck, or recessed a little bit. Also do I rotate distributor shaft to line up with #1 inside of distributor cap. 1993 s-10 blazer 4.3l TBI vin z
Thank You

if you have the #1 piston at top dead center the crank notch should be in the deep valley on the gauge, like it should have two valleys then a deep one. also mark that notch on the crank with a white marker so you can see it easier in the future. and while you are spinning the distributor while setting the timing

thats the best picture i can find

and yeah if the engine is at TDC the rotor should be pointing onto the number one cylinder

I want to thank you very much. That is what my timing pointer looks like. I will move it 1 more valley over to the deepest one.A pitcure is worth a 1,000 words.
