paperclip it. The onboard computer stores codes and itll tell you. just straighten a paper clip and then bend it into a U shape. Stick one end in each of the two upper right holes of the OBDsocketwhile the engine is off, then turn it to "run" position and the check engine light will flash codes at you. itll read 12 three times, then any codes that are stored in it.
In MY truck, if i put too much lateral force on it i get a check gauges light and that could cause some codes to be thrown if something reads out of the ordinary.
