Default Signal wire for a tach?

Bought a tach to keep a eye on things. Truck is a 92 K1500 blazer 350ci. Last night pulled the wires coming for the distributor to the coil one red, and one white. Neither side with key on was hot(coming of the ignition coil.) Does anybody know where to connect the signal wire for a tach? It would be connected to the down side of the pickup coil right?

Will a Mod or Admin please move this tread? I posted in the wrong section.
