Default Stalling Engine

Ok

Hey everybody nice to meet you all this is my first post here,
I am a new owner to the jimmy 4x4 5speed,just got it today..

Here is the thing IT STALLS WHEN I AM NOT PRESSING THE GAS!!!
I nearly got stranded. To keep the car on i had to start the car in gear and push the gas after the spark or the engine would stall at every stop.

I'm not sure whats going on because it was night and i could not see the engine really good.

I am new to the domestic cars I have a few classic imports.
Ready to learn about this one ..

Any Ideas on whats wrong???? California car

Ummm, I dont know too much about carbs. Check all your vacuum lines and make sure there hooked up to the proper areas. Check fuel pressure to make sure its got proper pressure. Clean the carb out really good. Stuff like that, make sure electrical parts that control idle are hooked up if any.
