Hey. Im replacing the fuel filter o my 91 blazer 4wd. when replacing the filter....comon sense should say that i need to turn the nut on the line counter close wise. i already have loosened off the back end but for the front this just isnt the case. any ideas? i thought about trying to soak it with some wd-40 because i have limited access to rust removal products.
Im not sure what else to do. some help would be great. thanks

Mine was the same, factory filter. Its just rusted on probably. Soak it in WD-40 then go make a sandwich and watch some tv. Go back out and it oughta be good to go.

It isn't left handed threads so as everyone has already said, you are turning it the correct way. I'll follow along with the recommendation of some penetrating oil and a beer or 3.

This is one of those situations where heat would not be a good idea. Mine was a little tough to change as well.

You Would be suprised what years of experince would do....not a smart idea i agree but possible.
I mentioned that to my dad being a mechanic of 18 years he knew the risks and was going to use it as a last resort.
Fortunatly that was not the case and we managed to change it out.

what finally got it unseized? Good idea to post results for searches and future members.

fyi i had a seized bolt for the starter, a lead pipe for leverage helped out alot.
