have you done anything regarding the swap Gordon? no offense to The_Blackjack, but if the '94's trans was a bad design, why can't you use a '93 in it? dos the ECM not reconize it?
regarding the transfer case, why would you swap it? was it acting up to? if you did need to swap the t.case, they can be switched no problem. the "electronic" shift solenoid is bolted onto the side of the transfer case (right where the mechanical linkage is bolted).
i really hope you didn't cut up a floor to swap over a mechanical system.

I believe so... I could never find any obvious physical differences between any 4L60E trannys of that era. I would think the differences are all electrical. All I know is that this program I use had never lied to me. If it says it wont work... lol... it wont.

the 93's and 94's were a mishmash of parts. I have a 94 Sonoma truck and its more 93 than anything else. It has the second gen body but first gen parts all over it.

You could prob get away with the trans swap by using the harnesses off of your trans and putting them on the donor trans. A lot of the time GM just changed out the harnesses. All you can do is try it.

you don't need to change anything in the harness, they have the same plugs.

regarding the fact your truck seems more '93 than '94, alot of car manufactures carry over with the driveline/electronics of the previous generation. and the underside of the S series trucks has proven to be a (somewhat) relieable vehicle. i think i just beat mine too hard-hell, i know i'm harder on my Blazer than i am on my Burb.
while the Dime p/u's didn't lose anything from this, i can think of one major problem a next gen GM car suffered with a body change-the '91 Cavalier. the previous gen cars had really s**ty brakes (front would wear out in nothing flat), and took 'til the '92 for GM to change this.

Amen, brother... had one of those 91 Cavaliers. Bought it new and they did the brakes twice under warranty. LOL That was the only complaint I had about it though - other than that it was a great little car. Traded it with 106K on the clock and it was still running great.

I have a 94 Blazer as well (2WD version) - so how do you tell which tranny you have?
