Swapping t-cases NP236 to NP231
I'm trying to figure out what vehicles I can use as donors for my 2000 Blazer LT 4X4 4dr. If anyone has swapped t-cases before and done this any advice would help. My idea is to go to a junk yard and find a vehicle and snag the t-case, linkage, shifter, and any other items I might need to accomplish the task. I'm not sure what years of Blazers/S-10 they put the np231 in or if they did, or if I need to check in other vehicles.
Thanks

There is a thread that details this swap that's ongoing right now. You end up with a hybrid t-case (front half 231 and rear 236 - yes it'll work) because of the VSS. Just run a search. I think it's under "Builds" but not positive. It's pretty cool what it looks like. Don't blame you for wanting to go manual shift. If mine bites the dust that's where I'm going. Found the link. Enjoy.
