When you were inside that intake, how sloppy was the connector with wires that plugs on the injector unit? It should be very tight and not flop around at all. That can cause your problems.

 

All my connections were nice and firm connections, someone else had told me that and I remember checking that when I tore it apart.

 

How close did you inspect it? Did you pup it off and look up the 2 holes. there is 2 extremely thin wires up there that should be parallell to one another. My old one had a crooked wire in one side making poor contact. Its an 8 dollar part, may want to just try it out yknow.
