Default Taking ac compressor off

92 blazer 4.3 z engine. How the f do you take off the a/c compressor? The pully is in the way of the two bolts that hold it in the bracket, i took the nut off the clutch thinking that would come off an then i could pull the pully off but no such luck. Also having trouble with taking off the power steering same thing pully seems to be in the way. Any help would be great. Sorry for the newbie question, learning chevy engines as this project of replacing the head gaskets go along. Thanks in advance!

You need to use a puller. I have this exact one, and it works on the power steering pulley as well. You can find these kits at discount tool places, or even borrow it from autozones loan a tool program.

You dont need a pulley puller. I pulled mine when i got the truck since the compressors bearings were bad. If you look carefully at the pulley, you'll see that it has 2 cuts on the edge of the pulley.on opposite side of one another. it allows the bolts to slide out past the pulley.

thats how mine was. I actually found out after i basically pried the bolts around the pulley with a big pry bar. then noticed the cuts afterwords.
