Default Throttle Positioning sensor

The check engine light has been lit in my 1985 S10 Blazer (signature). I went and got the codes read and they said TPS (throttle positioning sensor) isn't functioning, and it runs lean.
The check engine light came on right after I got the fuel pump replaced.

I unplugged all of the plugs on the carburator (E2SE Varajet II), blew them out, and plugged them back in. It worked a little but the the check engine light came back on eventually.

Where is the TPS located in the Gen 1 S-Blazer? I looked it up in my Haynes manual and they had limited info on it (only what it was and how it worked, not how to replace it ). How would I go about replacing it?

Now, when I replace the TPS, will it no longer run lean?

Well, thanks alot in advance!

It should be located on a bracket near the throttle linkage.

Check out my reply in the thread linked to below for some information on the E2SE:

Sweet man thanks!

I replaced it today, it did fix the running rich problem. It no longer smells like gasoline whenever I drive.

Its tricky to figure out what the TPS is/where its located, but the blown up diagram helped alot.

what type of gas mileage are you getting now with the carb? i pretty much have the same blazer except mine is the 86 with fuel injection and i was just wondering if its just me getting poor gas mileage.
