Timing?

Default Timing?

I have a 94 s10blazer 4.3 vin W
i set the timing at 0 degreas and it seamed VERRY slugish so i put it back to where it hasben for a long timewhere it seamed ok.
so my question is what degree should it be at?
i belive its 2 degres now
i also know thecomputer shouldbeable to corret small amounts of timing. how much can it chang it?
where is the wire to put the computer in to timing mode?
and what color is it? i herd it was below the heater? under the cartpet?

Default RE: Timing?

First, how were you checking the timing? Second, did you disconnect the timing wire inside the cab of the truck? If not, you weren't reading true timing. It should be a green wire off the passenger side of the transmission tunnel under the carpet if I remember right.

I was useing a timing light. i did not disconect the wire
is the wire in the picture the right wire it was under the passanger side dash?

ya i did this once b4 with my dad ik theres a wire under the carpet on the passanger side under the dash area that u have to disconnect but i rem me and my dad marking it and then re aligning itor something not to sure my dad did most of it and i couldnt really see
