Question Towing

I have a 87' S-10 blazer 2.8. I need to tow a 1974 Ford f100, I was wondering will the blazer be able to pull it ok? I need to pull it about 30 miles. I will be using a tow dolly.

put it in 3rd (out of overdrive) and pray that 2.8 has enough to pull it.

if it was a 4.3L i would say go for it. no problem. that 2.8 is not gonna have the most power to pull. that's what i'm worried about. if you take it easy 1-2nd gear. you shouldn't have a problem with the tranny as long as your motor has got the ***** to pull it.
