Trans Swap Question

Default Trans Swap Question

Will a 1994 trans from a 2 wheel drive 4.3 blazer fit into a 1991 4x4 4.3 blazer. Thanks for any help.

No for two reasons. 94 = 4L60E while 91 = 4L60 (700R4). One is electronic control while the other is all manual controls. The other reason is that there is a lot of work required to make a 2wd transmission into a 4wd transmission. It involves swapping the tail shaft which requires the complete removal of the guts of the transmission.
