Default transsmision filter?

How do you get the filter out of a 94 s10 blazer 4x4, the transsmision is the tr400 or something like that.I got the pan off, andI dont see any clips, or nut, bolts, ect. holding the filter on. Any help is welcome.

Yup, you just pull on the filter.

You don't always need to replace the lip seal in the transmission case, but you should feel up inside of it for any cuts or abrasions that may allow it to leak. If you find any, then the old seal should be removed and the new one tapped back up in.

For putting the new one in, I use my 3/8" drive socket extension and a socket turned around backwards on the end of the extension. The socket should be of sufficient size to fit up into the hole where the seal goes, but larger than the OD of the seal.
