Default 2001 to 2003 dash swap

Hey guys, first post here. I have a 2001 2wd 4 door LS blazer. My dash is falling apart and i need to do a heater core as well. I have a good condition 2003 4 door LS 4x4 dash assembly. Does anybody know if the 2003 dash will be a direct fit for my 2001? And if the 2001 BCM will work with the 2003 dash wire harness? I plan on using all my switches/gauge cluster/head unit from my 01. And from what i can tell both dash boards are the same in terms of wiring for the switches/etc looked all over and couldnt find an answer to my question so hopefully someone with experience can answer this. Thanks

2003 dash should fit fine in a 2001. If any doubts about the wiring, switch it too when both are out.

I can tell you that wiring can vary considerably, depending upon options and application - even within a single year. But if the wire colors in all the connectors are the same and the wires are in the same position, then I think you should be OK.

The dash will definitely interchange. It's like LesMyer stated, if the wires are the same position and colors it should be a shoe in.

Very interesting. I think this is a rare swap. Please let us know how it goes. I am sure a lot of readers would like to know. May I ask what is the advantage of your swap from a 2001 to a 2003? IOW, what are you gaining?

Jimspahr not looking to gain anything from the swap other than having a dash thats in decent shape. Only swaping to the 03 because i already had it from my old blazer so it didn't cost me anything.
